Atascocita MCJROTC Mentorship Program readies middle schoolers
Timberwood Middle School has recently seen the launch of a brand-new initiative – The MCJROTC Mentorship Program – which aims to give middle school students, particularly eighth graders, an easier transition period as they advance to high school.
“This program is led by students enrolled in the Marine Corps Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Program at Atascocita High School,” said Justice Lasyone, senior Marine instructor at AHS. Although this program is led by AHS students, Lasyone noted that “There is instructor oversight during all of the program’s sessions.”
