Welcome, everyone, to Out and About – here to catch you up on what’s happening in the Lake Houston area!
The Hot Pinks, chairs of the different committees for In The Pink of Health 2019, have been hard at work gearing up for the many different events leading up to the annual luncheon Oct. 18 at the IAH Marriott. Head Pinks Cynthia Calvert and Tom Broad, together with Brooke Baugh, have gathered the Hot Pinks and have been keeping us on task. Committee members include Gwendolyn Crawford, Kelly Paull, Gina Remmes, Tracy Monk, Trey Hill, Claire King, Ginger Bertrand, Diane Blanco, Dixie Frantz, Deborah Rose Miller, Patsy Oliver, Kathy Adkins, Angi Lewis, Pam McNair, Marilyn Mann, Marco Olivedes, Sylvia Saumell and Rebecca Tribo. Look out for various community partners who are donating proceeds through Partners in Pink. The first event this year was the Pink Tennis Tournament held at The Clubs of Kingwood. The Tennis Ladies raised over $9,000 that will support the mission of In The Pink and Project Mammogram. If you haven’t yet, gather a foursome for Play for the Pink, our second annual golf tournament, that will be held at Oakhurst Sept. 20.
