Welcome, everyone, to Out and About – here to catch you up on what’s happening in the Lake Houston area!

It has been nearly two and a half years since Hurricane Harvey forced the closure of the Humble Museum. The City of Humble, in conjunction with the efforts of the Humble Museum Board, has found a new home – the previous board room of Humble ISD located on the ground of the gorgeous Bender Performing Arts Center in Humble. Dr. Robert Meaux has spearheaded the former board room’s renovations and it won’t be long before the museum will be back – but oh, so much better! Chairing the brand new Humble Museum Foundation is Cynthia Calvert. She has been joined by Pam McNair, Claire King, Mike Carr, Charles Cunningham and Tracy Monk. And they are making big plans. Soon Lake Houston residents can join the foundation and help support the fantastic tributes to Humble’s rich history.
