Second Kingwood hog hunter makes difference in December

The Kingwood Service Association (KSA) Parks Committee added a second hog hunter in late November to work in Kingwood due to recent surges in both reported feral hog sightings and residential property damage that began to worsen in August. The results in the first month of having two hunters instead of one indicate the extra effort is making a big, positive difference.
The number of hogs captured in December increased significantly while reports of hog activity in the residential areas went down.
Ethel McCormick of Kingwood Management Association reported the good news to the KSA Parks Committee at its January meeting.
