July 20, 2019 is the 50th anniversary of the first person to walk on the moon. The goal of the Apollo Program was to take humans to the moon and bring them back safety to Earth. A total of 12 people walked on the moon, explored, ran tests and brought back moon rocks. The landing was the culmination of the “Space Race” with the Soviet Union.
