Saturn has returned to our evening skies. This amazing view is one that we on Earth never get to see. It is a picture of Saturn with the sun behind it, backlighting its rings. It was imaged by NASA’s Cassini Spacecraft as it explored space around Saturn. Although all of the giant planets have rings, Saturn is the only planet whose rings can be seen from Earth. Saturn can be seen low in the southeast after sunset.
