The Toyota Land Cruiser is one of the best off-road SUVs you can buy, but is it still worth buying?
WHAT IT IS: The Land Cruiser is Toyota’s full-sized 4WD SUV that is known for its legendary durability and off-road capability. The current version was launched almost 14 years ago as a 2008 model and a new model is due to premiere sometime this year. My test model was the limited “Heritage Edition” which provides blacked out exterior trim, a Yakima roof rack, black perforated leather seating, 18-inch bronze BBS wheels, and some other minor visual changes. Your only real choices when buying a Heritage Edition are: do you want a third row of seats ($1,420) and do you want it painted in white, black, silver or gray.
