Arrest Made In Frisco Murder Investigation

FRISCO, TX -- The Frisco Police Department has arrested two men connected to the death of Anthony Morehead Dec. 26 on Warren Parkway. Rasheed Kilpatrick, of Dallas, was charged with murder Dec. 30 and is being held at the Collin County Jail on $500,000 bond. Derek Carr, of McKinney, was arrested for tampering with physical evidence and is being held on $250,000 bond, Frisco PD said in a news release.

On Wednesday, Dec. 26, at about 7:48 a.m. Frisco PD responded to a shots fired call at the Republic House at Frisco Bridges, an apartment complex in the 8500 block of Warren Parkway. There officers found Morehead dead and lying in the courtyard from gunshot wounds, Frisco PD added.

“Due to patrol’s quick thinking and great initial response, this investigation moved quickly. The management of the crime scene and subsequent canvas and identification of possible witnesses and suspects helped tremendously. I am very pleased that the suspects have been taken into custody," Frisco PD chief John W. Bruce said.
