Bland ISD Bus Involved In Crash In Hunt County: Report

No serious injuries were reported, several news outlets say.

MERIT, TX — A Bland ISD school bus carrying 14 students was involved in a crash with an 18-wheeler on U.S. Highway 380 between the Collin and Hunt county line, KXAS reports.

The crash happened around 12:50 p.m., the station reports. Several ambulances were called to the scene.

No information about injuries was immediately available.

Texas DPS Public Information Officer Kyle Bradford told eGreenville Extra the truck driver stated he did not see the bus before the crash.

“We were told that the truck driver stated he did not see the bus, for an undetermined reason, and that he rear-ended the school bus,” Bradford said. “At this time, no serious injuries have been reported and no students have been transported to a hospital.”
