Child Death Under Investigation By Frisco Police

FRISCO, TX -- The Frisco Police Department is investigating an incident that led to the death of a child and the hospitalization of its mother. The Saturday incident is being investigated as a homicide/suicide attempt, Frisco PD said in a news release.

Frisco 911 received a call around 5:55 p.m. to respond to the 15200 block of Preachers Lane.

"Officers with the Frisco Police and Fire Departments responded and located both subjects in a parked vehicle. The child was pronounced deceased on scene, and the female was transported to a local hospital where she remains hospitalized in an unknown condition," Frisco PD said.

This is an active and ongoing investigation, and the identities of the involved parties were not released.
