Collin, Grayson Counties Under Severe Storm Warning

The warning expires at 5:00 p.m. Strong winds and hail are are likely to cause damage.

The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for parts of North Texas expected to see hail and winds gusts of up to 60 miles per hour in the next half hour.

The warning affects northeastern Denton County, Northwestern Collin County and southwestern Grayson County.

The warning expires at 5:00 p.m.

Residents in these counties should be prepared for ping pong-sized hail and strong wind gusts that could injure people and animals outdoors.

Locations impacted include Denton, Sherman, Sanger, Anna, Celina, Pilot Point, Van Alstyne, Howe, Aubrey, Krugerville, Cross Roads, Gunter, Dorchester, RayRoberts Park Isle Du Bois, Tioga, Weston, Lincoln Park and Westminster.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 10:00 p.m. for north central Texas.
