McKinney North Lockdown Lifted, Suicide Reported
McKinney North students were taken to Boyd High School to be picked up by parents.

MCKINNEY, TX — One student at McKinney North High School died Friday morning from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, the district said on its website.
The school was immediately placed on lock-down in an abundance of caution. No other students were harmed, the district said.
Police are still investigating the incident but say no other students were hurt.

Police said students will be taken to Boyd High School, where parents can pick up the students.
Other schools in the district will operate on a regular bus schedule.

A suicide prevention lifeline is available at 1-800-273-TALK (8255). Anyone can call, including someone who feels suicidal or in distress or someone who is worried about a friend/family member.
McKinney North HS is secure. One student transported with a gunshot wound. Believed to be self inflicted. No other students believed to be involved.
