Storms Possible North Of Metroplex This Evening And Overnight

Potentially damaging storms are possible into Sunday night.

MCKINNEY, TX — Strong storms capable of producing damaging winds and hail could impact residents living north of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex Friday evening into Saturday.

The National Weather Service warns isolated storms north of the line formed by Athens, McKinney and Graham. Additional storms are also possible east of a line formed by Bonham and Athens.

Storms could return Saturday night and affect the entire area north of the I-20 corridor. These storms could contain hail and damaging winds.

The area east of the line formed by Goldwaite, Fort Worth and Sherman could see storms as well.

Residents in other parts of the metroplex are cautioned to use sunscreen, stay hydrated and rest often as temperatures break 100 degrees.
