Xplor Preschool & School Age Care Students Create Earth Day Buzz

Students participated in a weeklong Earth Day celebration, which included releasing ladybugs in their schoolyard to help local vegetation

Students at Xplor Preschool & School Age Care on Stonebridge Drive in McKinney have been buzzing with excitement for Earth Day! Students recently celebrated Earth Day and taking care of the planet by releasing hundreds of ladybugs throughout the schoolyard and back into the environment on plants, flowers and trees. Additionally, students participated in a variety of activities throughout the week to celebrate Earth Day, such as a learning about worms and painting kindness rocks.

Leading up to Earth Day, students learned that ladybugs serve as a natural pesticide by feeding on insects that could otherwise harm the health of gardens, trees and shrubs. Xplor Preschool & School Age Care teaches the importance of community and exploring nature at an early age.
