Apparent Murder-Suicide Sunday In Chinatown; Girl, 8, Also Shot
Police arrived at Woodcreek on the Bayou apartment complex to find a man and woman both dead, and an 8-year-old girl with a gunshot wound.
HOUSTON, TX — Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman and apparent suicide of a man that happened around 12:05 p.m. Sunday (April 29) at Woodcreek on the Bayou apartment complex, located at 7930 Corporate.
Police responded to a shooting at the complex and found Jessica Morales, 31, dead at the scene. The alleged shooter, Wilson Bautista, was also pronounced dead at the scene. An 8-year-old girl was struck by a stray round and suffered a gunshot wound. She was taken to Mermorial Hermann Hospital in stable condition.
After interviewing witnesses and family members, police say it appears Bautista shot Morales before turning the gun on himself.
