Bob McNair to be deposed in Kaepernick collusion grievance
Texans owner among several prominent NFL team owners the league will ask to turn over emails and cell phone records concerning Kaepernick

HOUSTON, TX — Houston Texans owner Bob McNair and Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones are among prominent NFL team owners who could be deposed in conjunction with the grievance filed by former quarterback Colin Kaepernick's attorney against NFL team owners. Kaepernick has claimed NFL owners colluded against signing him to an NFL contract.
Kaepernick has become more notable for trailblazing the national anthem kneeling protest rather than his play as a quarterback. He left the san Francisco 49ers in march and has since been unemployed as no NFL team has taken a chance on him.
Kaepernick's attorney, Mark Geragos, announced on Twitter the grievance was filed "only after pursuing every possible avenue with all NFL teams and their executives."

When the Houston Texans lost starting quarterback Deshaun Watson for the season on Thursday because of a season-ending ACL injury during a non-contact drill in practice, the Texans wasted no time in signing unheralded Matt McGloin.
In the grievance filed by Geragos on behalf of Kaepernick under the league's collective bargaining agreement, owners will be asked to turn over cellphone records and emails, an NFL source told Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Although all 32 NFL owners were accused of collusion in the grievance, only a few will be deposed, including the Seattle Seahawks' Paul Allen and the 49ers' Jed York.

Owners chosen for depositions were picked based on their public statements about anthem protests or Kaepernick himself, ABC News reported.
