Crime Summit: Houston Mayor, Police Chief, And Council Member To Address Public

Sylvester Turner, Art Acevedo, and Ellen Cohen will respond to recent shootings, including death of 10-month-old.

HOUSTON, TX — If you are concerned about crime in the Meyerland area — the recent shooting incidents involving the death of one infant and the injury of another have put the topic front and center — be sure to circle June 26 on your calendar.

At 6:30 p.m. on that day a public meeting presided over by Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner, Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo, and Houston City Council member Ellen Cohen will tackle the issue of crime, and you can expect that the two shootings will be at the top of the agenda.

The meeting will be held at the Evelyn Rubenstein Jewish Community Center, located at 5601 South Braeswood Boulevard.
