Dez Bryant A Houston Texan? Looks Like's Lobbying For It

The former Dallas Cowboys star could be a solid fit, and help create one dazzling Houston Texans offense.

HOUSTON, TX — Dez Bryant could be sending subliminal messages to other NFL players and fans alike, or he could just be playing friendly — the Texan way. Either way, the former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver's recent actions on social media have folks in a tizzy.

Bryant, who was released from the Dallas Cowboys last week, has followed some new folks on Instagram, and they all happen to be star players for the Houston Texans.

The players he began following are:

Some players like Hopkins and newly-signed Tyrann Mathieu have lobbied on social media to get Brynat in Houston. Hopkins tweeted out a photoshopped picture similar to this one:

A Bryant-to-Houston could create even more riff between fans of the Cowboys and Texans, especially since they play in Week 4 of preseason and will have a regular-season game this fall.

Bryant was set to make $12.5 million in 2018, Cowboys staff writer David Helman wrote. He was in a five-year, $70 million contract signed in 2015, but Bryant struggled to live up to expectations in recent seasons.

Bryant, 29, was first drafted to the Cowboys in 2010. Since that time, he has made three Pro Bowls over eight seasons.

Bryant has 531 career receptions for 7,459 total yards, plus a Cowboys franchise-record 73 receiving touchdowns, DallasCowboys.com reported.

Plus, Bryant, a Lufkin High standout back in the day, would add to an already-burgeoning offense with Will Fuller, Hopkins, Watson and a tough defense. Just as the Jacksonville Jaguars stacked their lineup and made the AFC Championship game last season, maybe this would be a good move for the Texans.
