Elderly Woman Dies In Sharpstown House Fire
Firefighters were ordered out of the house because of intense heat and low visibility. Once under control, they found the woman dead inside.
HOUSTON, TX — An elderly woman was found dead in a house fire near Sharpstown on Tuesday. Houston firefighters arrived at the home on the 8700 block of Pagewood Lane close to 6 p.m. Tuesday to find fire coming from the side windows of a single-story home.
They made an attack on the fire and gained entrance into the home. There was very low visibility and high heat conditions, and firefighters were ordered to back out of the home until the fire could be better controlled.
A primary search was completed and firefighters found the woman dead inside the home.

The arson department hasn't made a ruling on what caused the fire that wreaked $50,000 in estimated damage.
