HEB To Open Double-Decker Store In Meyerland
HEB will build a new store in Meyerland to replace the store that flooded during Hurricane Harvey in August 2017

HOUSTON, TX — Everything’s bigger in Texas, and that includes the the grocery store owned by one of Texas’ most iconic companies.
Residents in Meyerland will be the recipients of a new expansive double-decker HEB store that the company plans to open in 2019.
The new store, which will be about 95,000 square-feet, will replace the Meyerland store that was located at Meyerland Plaza and flooded during Hurricane Harvey in August, KHOU reported.

The new store will include:
- Kosher Bakery
- Meal Simple Offering
- Sushi
- Cooking Connection
- Blooms
- Large Beer and Wine Department
- Sky bridge connecting to neighboring JC Penney
- Parking garage
- Two story shopping
- BBVA Compass Bank (First Floor)
- Curbside delivery
Construction on the story will begin in early 2019, and will b completed that fall, officials said.
