Houston PD Look For Woman Accused In Shooting Caught On Video
A shooting inside a car outside a Houston Valero station was captured on live-streaming video that later went viral on Facebook.

HOUSTON, TX — Houston police are looking for the woman in a gruesome-looking Facebook video that showed the live shooting of a man outside a Houston gas on Easter Sunday.
The story begins when HPD officers responded to a report of a shooting at a Valero parking lot at 5203 Almeda Road around 2:25 a.m. Sunday. Three people — Cassandra Nickcole Damper, Devyn Holmes and another man — were inside a car in which the shooting happened.
While playing with two pistols in the car, Damper fired the weapon and struck Holmes in the head. When officers arrived, they detained Damper and a witness for questioning. A phone inside the car was live streaming the shooting online, and it went viral on Facebook soon after.

When officers arrived, they detained Damper and a witness for questioning, bagging their hands so they could be tested for gunshot residue. While detained, Damper attempted to destroy the evidence by wiping off any gunshot residue that may have been present. Damper was arrested at the scene for attempting to destroy evidence.
Investigators continued to gather evidence, including video of the shooting incident, and monitor the victim's condition. Additional evidence was presented to prosecutors with the Harris County District Attorney's Office, who then accepted the additional charge of aggravated assault-serious bodily injury.

KHOU reported that Damper's family and friends who accompanied her to court Tuesday — on the original charge of tampering — covered her face with purses and jackets while she entered.
District Attorney Joshua Phanco said Tuesday's hearing was simply a precursor to a bigger bond hearing. He added that Damper showed a level of recklessness the morning of the shooting.
Holmes remains in critical condition.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of suspect Damper or on this case is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
