Houston Police Investigating Meyerland Shooting Monday
Unknown suspect fled the scene at Sandpiper Apartments.

HOUSTON, TX — Houston police are investigating the shooting of a man outside his apartment Monday afternoon in the Meyerland area. According to police, Chauney R.Williams, 28, was in front of his apartment when he was shot multiple times by an unknown male.
Police said Williams was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital with non-life-threatening wounds.
The shooting took place around 12:15 p.m. on Monday (Feb. 26) at Sandpiper Apartments, located at 10402 Sandpiper.

The suspect is described only as a tall black male, 25-35 years old, with a slim build. He fled the scene, possibly in a silver Acura.
