Man Killed In River Oaks Area Car Crash Tuesday
A 65-year-old man left his vehicle and was hit by another vehicle early this morning on Southwest Freeway service road.

HOUSTON, TX — A 65-year-old man was killed in a car crash early this morning (April 3) at 3900 Southwest Freeway (U.S. Highway 59 South). Houston police say the man exited his vehicle and attempted to cross the Edloe/Buffalo Speedway exit ramp, he was struck by a silver Nissan Rogue about 2:05 a.m. this morning.
The driver of the Nissan was interviewed at the scene and showed no signs of intoxication, according to Houston police. The deceased man's identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD said the investigation is ongoing.
