Man Robbed, Dragged By Car In Craigslist Sale Gone Wrong

The two men met at the seller's house for the transaction of an iPhone when the suspect, who'd stayed in his car, drove off with the phone.

HOUSTON, TX — Houston police reported that a Hispanic man drove to a home in East Houston to purchase an iPhone through a transaction through Craigslist. Ultimately, the would-be buyer stayed inside his car, examined the phone brought to him, put his car in gear and drove off — dragging the seller with him.

The suspect reportedly pulled out a gun as he was dragging the victim, but the man was able to break free from the car after getting dragged several feet in the 3400 block of Cline.

Police are looking for a Hispanic male between the ages of 20 to 27. He's described as 6-foot and about 160 to 180 pounds. Authorities say the suspect drives a white four door sedan, possibly a Toyota Corolla.
