Man Who Killed Girlfriend In SW Houston Dies In Hospital
Michael Parker kicked in the door of his girlfriend's apartment, shot her and then turned the gun on himself. He died Saturday.

HOUSTON, TX — Police say a man who kicked in the door of his girlfriend's apartment and shot her dead has died from his own gunshot wound. Michael Parker, a 28-year-old black man, died at the hospital Saturday, just two days after the incident.
According to the report on Patch last week, police received a call from Karkea Crenshaw, 33, who was having a nasty fight with Parker Thursday at athe Spring Village Apartment Complex, located at 11810 Chimney Rock Road. The cops arrived, only to find just the woman there as Parker had vanished.
They searched for the man but didn't find him. Police took pictures of Crenshaw's injuries and took her fingerprints. After they left, Crenshaw asked management at the apartment complex to change the locks, which they did. Parker then arrived not long after she did it. He reportedly kicked down the door, shot his girlfriend and then shot himself, according to the report.

"It's a cycle of abuse, so recognize the signs when you're in it," Baimbridge said. "And prevent it and get away from it. And sadly it looks like she was trying to do that but it was too late."
