Southwest Houston House Fire Causes $23K In Damage

House fire caused by an electrical short in the attic.

HOUSTON, TX — An electrical short in the attic of a house on Roos Road in Southwest Houston ignited a fire and caused an estimated $23,000 in damage last Thursday. Houston Fire Department responded to a fire in the 11800 block of Roos at 8 a.m. Thursday and tapped out the fire. There were no injuries.

HFD stated it saved an estimated $137 thousand in property.
