100 Houston Highway Stretches Still Covered With Ice: TranStar

Every interstate and major highway, including tolls, have patches where it's still dangerous to drive despite warming temperatures.

HOUSTON, TX — Temperatures finally crept above the freezing mark this afternoon, but it doesn't mean the roads are completely safe yet. The mercury rose to 33 degrees at 1 p.m. in Houston today and it's expected to hit 37 in a few hours. However, it'll dip back into freezing again by nightfall.

That said, there are still more than 100 incidents of ice still on parts of major highways. These include all interstates and toll roads, all loops and all other major arteries entering and leaving the Bayou City.

Here are the updated highways with ice still on them as of 1:30 p.m. here are other road closures, according to Houston TranStar, that are either construction or ice-related.
