Another Weekend Of Multiple Shooting Fatalities In Houston
Three fatalities in the last two days, including one outside a strip club late Saturday night-early Sunday.

HOUSTON, TX — The Houston Police Department had another busy weekend, and not because the rodeo kicked off. Aside from lots of car crashes, there were several reported shootings, three of them fatal. Here's a wrap of reported shootings in Houston from the time you clocked out on Friday until you clocked back in this morning.
- A young man was shot dead at 4800 Martin Luther King Boulevard around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday (February 25). The identity of the man(said to be between 18 and 21 in age) is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Holbrook and Detective J. Roscoe reported the victim was standing in a parking lot when he got into an altercation with an unknown male suspect. The man was shot and was later to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
- A man believed to be in his 50's was shot dead Sunday at the Hot Spot Gentleman's Club, located at 5608 North Shepherd Drive. According to HPD, around 2:55 a.m. early Sunday, the man and another individual got into a confrontation while inside the club. The man then left the club, went to his vehicle and retrieved a handgun. He then began shooting aimlessly while attempting to re-enter the club. A uniformed security guard and another man, seeing the suspect firing the handgun, returned fire, striking the man multiple times. No other individuals were wounded. Investigators questioned the security guard and witnesses about this case, and it will likely be referred to a Harris County grand jury.
- Eliseo Rodriguez, 18, was walking through the parking lot of a Pappasito's Cantina restaurant about 1:40 a.m. today (Feb 26) at 7050 West F.M. 1960 when he was shot by an unknown suspect(s). Rodriguez was transported to an area hospital where he was listed in stable condition. At this time, there is no known motive for the shooting.
- A man sleeping at his business was awoken by the sounds of an intruder breaking in about 12:15 a.m. today (Feb. 26). The business owner at 6121 Pinemont grabbed his gun and investigated the scene and killed the would-be-burglar dead with one shot. The burglar was pronounced dead at the scene.
