Free Child Immunizations By Houston Health Center

A variety of services offered by the center (women's health, children, diabetes awareness, etc.) will also be available during the week

HOUSTON, TX — The Houston Department of Health will offer free child immunizations on Monday, Aug. 14, to kickstart National Health Center Week. Health center employees will staff booths at four locations throughout the week (Aug. 15-18) with information about many of the department’s services. Time each day is 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The department’s health centers will begin the week by offering free immunizations to children who qualify for the Texas Vaccines for Children program on Monday, Aug. 14, from 4 - 7 p.m.

Featured services during the week include family planning, dental, nurse home visitation program, women's health, infants and children (WIC) program, sexually transmitted diseases, the free Diabetes Awareness and Wellness Network center and referrals to a wide variety of human services.

La Nueva Casa de Amigos, 1809 North Main

Sunnyside Health Center, 4605 Wilmington

National Health Center week is Aug. 13-19. This year’s national theme for the event is “Celebrating America’s Health Centers: The Key to Healthier Communities.”
