Houston Farmers Market Returns Wednesday In Hermann Square

HOUSTON, TX — The city of Houston encourages a healthy lifestyle and shopping locally, and it'll promote it every Wednesday starting this week up until Christmas. With Houston's downtown urban setting as the dramatic backdrop, the City Hall Farmers Market will be the place folks can pick up farm-fresh weekly groceries or enjoy a variety of locally prepared food.

The Farmers Market will go from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. in Hermann Square on Wednesday, Sept. 20 and will take place every Wednesday until Dec. 20. There will be more than 30 local farmers, food trucks and other vendors will be on hand outside City Hall with fresh produce, cheeses, breads, roasted coffees and a variety of prepared meals and packaged to-go foods available for purchase.

People are encouraged to walk, take the Greenlink (the downtown shuttle) or ride a bike via Houston Bike Share to join the fun. There will be parking available in nearby garages or streets meters.
