Houstonians Participate In March For Truth
"No amount of rain, no amount of intimidation, no amount of ugliness will prevent us from standing up for truth."

HOUSTON, TX — The call went out across the nation, and many heeded it, including a small crowd in Houston that assembled at Baldwin Park on Saturday to call for an investigation into President Donald Trump's ties to Russia.
The thunderstorms might have prevented a larger assemblage, but the people who did attend were vocal in their protests, including Mary Ochoa, who told the Houston Chronicle that the game had been changed.
"For a while, everything was OK," Ochoa said. "Different parties took turns leading. But this? This is categorically different." Ochoa said she had also protested during her college days, in 1968, against the war in Vietnam.

The protesters stood under a gazebo in the park, trying to stay dry.
Rep. Al Green, a Democrat from Houston, spoke to the crowd. He was being guarded by a security contingent, because his calls for Trump's impeachment have led to death threats against him.

"No amount of rain, no amount of intimidation, no amount of ugliness will prevent us from standing up for truth," Green said.
The gathering in Houston was one of more than 100 held across the U.S., including in New York.
Another speaker at the event was Michael Floyd, and 18-year-old who was recently elected to the Pearland ISD school board.
"This isn't about Republicans or Democrats," Floyd said. "This is an issue of whether you're a patriot or not."
