Midtown Houston 2017 Halloween High-Risk Sex Offender Safety Map

MIDTOWN HOUSTON, TX — As Halloween approaches and the cooler weather will be more conducive to kids playing outside, it's a good time to look around and see who is living in your neighborhood.

There are 68 registered sex offenders in the Midtown Houston area — according to the Texas Sex Offender Registry. The list is an open record, and we at Patch did a public search to help readers narrow down the search specific to their neighborhoods.

The number is greater in Midtown than most areas of the rest of the city (28 in The Heights, 1 in Bellaire, etc.) A map of all the registered offenders would be rather cluttered, so Patch pinned the top five highest-risk offenders on a local map.
