Pedal Around Downtown On National Bike To Work Day
Mayor Sylvester Turner and the city will host a special bike ride on Friday, and all are invited.

HOUSTON, TX — It's not too late to register and join Mayor Sylvester Turner and friends Friday, on National Bike to Work Day, for a fun Celebratory Bike Ride in and around Downtown Houston. Come explore existing bikeways, including the city’s famous off-street trail network and Houston’s recent extension of its first two-way separated bike lane, known as the green mile!
All participants must register for this event. Festivities begin between 6:45 and 7 a.m. Friday in front of City Hall at Hermann Square (901 Bagby St.) with registration, vendors, music and food. Riders will register, visit the vendors' booth and get instructions on the route as well as safety tips.
Bike vendors also will be on site to provide bike tuneups. The ride will begin to roll out at 7:25 a.m. and all riders will be en route by 7:30 a.m. The Houston Police Department and volunteer bike wranglers will lead participants along the ride.
