Ryan Hildebrand's New Restaurant Sets Opening Date

Post-Triniti, chef will be running FM Kitchen + Bar at 1112 Shepherd Drive.

HOUSTON, TX — Ready for more burgers? Good, because come May 19 there will be another place for your cravings, and the man in charge has a great pedigree: Chef Ryan Hildebrand, of Triniti fame, is switching gears and trading composed dishes for the American staple (and more).

Hildebrand closed Triniti on February 5, and had by then announced his plans for a new eatery. Triniti opened in late 2011 and soon thereafter began receiving acclaim for its food and design. It was a stylish restaurant that focused on upscale preparations and beautiful plating.

Collaborative Projects' Jim Herd was in charge of designing FM Kitchen + Bar (the original name for the project was FM 903), which will be reminiscent of traditional burger stands and icehouses.

“We brought the casual, comfortable nature of a road trip to the heart of one of the best cities in the world,” Hildebrand said in a statement. “Think of it as a park in the city where you have a drink, a bite, play some games on the patio and relax.”

You can expect burgers, of course, plus craft beer (local brews will be spotlighted), but there'll also be pork chops and chicken fried steak, and Frito pie, plus plenty of outdoor space for you and your dog. Yes, it's going to be a pet-friendly place.
