Watch: Stanford Band Trolls Texas, Whataburger In Alamo Bowl Game
(Video) The band's PA announcer takes jabs at border wall, Whataburger, Texas ego and other things only to be answered by a chorus of boos.

SAN ANTONIO, TX — The Stanford Cardinal marching band stepped onto the field in the Alamodome Thursday night and downright tried to "Mess With Texas." The band and its public address announcer took jabs at the Lone Star State and even poked fun at Whataburger, in which the crowd rained down boos to the West Coast university.
The announcer, who can be heard very clearly in this video from the band's Facebook page, took jabs at Texas and its people, its government and the beloved hamburger institution that can hands-down win a taste-test championship over the little In-N-Out Burger.
"Everything is super normal here, yup, for instance, we all love Whataburger, a fast-food chain that apparently only serves water," the band's announcer piped through the stadium’s speakers. "And of course, there’s queso, the popular sports drink that Texans use as a refreshing alternative to Gatorade, yum."

Whataburger's Twitter feed wouldn't take that beef, and quickly turned the tables on the band.
Maybe if the Stanford band had some Whataburger they wouldn’t be so unhappy

The Stanford account responded and asked for coupons, and Whataburger — in the Friendly Texas Way — obliged.

Oh, as for the game, Stanford went ahead early in the contest but only to lose, 39-37, to the Horned Frogs of Texas Christian University.
