Adults 55+ Invited To Enjoy A Range Of Activities Through Summer

The Pflugerville Public Library hosts a wide range of programs and events designed for adults ages 55 and over, to keep active and social.

PFLUGERVILLE, TX—As summer quickly approaches, Pflugerville-area seniors (ages 55 and over) are invited to take part in the variety of programs and events offered through the Pflugerville Public Library. Whether you're looking to explore your creativity, or are interested in meeting new friends, the programs offered for adults ages 55+ provide opportunities to stay active and social.

The Pflugerville Public Library hosts the following events:

  • Cookbook Club: 1st Monday of each month from 11:30 am - 12:30 p.m. Meet other cooks and try new food. Bring a prepared dish and a recipe to share with the group. Theme will vary each month. See calendar for details.
  • Senior Crafternoon: 2nd Monday of each month from 2 - 3 p.m. Enjoy a fun craft on the second Monday of each month from 2 - 3 p.m. Past activities include glass etching, jewelry making, clay crafts, and more. Materials for each activity will be provided while supplies last. See the calendar for more details.
  • Watercolor Hour: 3rd Mondays from 2 - 3 p.m. Each month, you'll work on a different piece of art. This program is meant for beginners looking to learn a bit more about watercolors.
  • Senior Movie Matinee: Last Monday of each month at 2 p.m. The Pflugerville Public Library will screen a newly-released DVD on the last Monday of each month at 2:00 pm. Snacks and drinks are provided.
  • Tech Help by Appointment: Learn to use your tablet, phone, or laptop to download library resources. Thirty-minute appointments with a librarian are available. (Devices brought to appointments must be in working condition. Library staff cannot repair broken devices.) Sign up for one-on-one assistance by calling (512) 990-6375 or by emailing Bette at bettem@pflugervilletx.gov.
  • Lunch and Learns:Join the Pflugerville Public Library for a special presentation every other month (even numbered months). See the calendar for more information.
