Amazon To Add 600 Jobs In North Austin: Report
Online retail giant hopes to add tech-focused job to its expansive North Austin campus at mixed-use development dubbed Domain 10.
NORTH AUSTIN, TX — Amazon, the online retail giant, is expanding its Central Texas hub with plans to add 600 new jobs, according to a published report.
The company told the Austin American-Statesman of its plans to add tech-focused job to its expansive North Austin campus, the newspaper reported Thursday. The plans come the company's March announcement detailing efforts to add 800 tech-focused jobs to its site at The Domain.
All told, the campus will have added some 1,400 jobs between both expansions, according to company officials. To accommodate the bolstered employment base, the company plans to lease another 100,000 square feet of space at the Domain 10 development comprising a 15-story tower currently under construction at the mixed-use development, adding to its current 145,000-square-foot lease, according to the report.
