Amazon To Hire 1,000 Employees At New Pflugerville Location

PFLUGERVILLE, TX — Amazon will hire 1,000 full-time employees for its new fulfillment center in Pflugerville, which is projected to open in August, officials said in a news release Friday.

A virtual webinar is planned for 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday for anyone interested in applying to work at the 3.8 million-square-foot Pflugerville Amazon location, the Pflugerville Community Development Corp. said.

"Positions will play an essential role by working alongside high-tech robotics to ship items to Amazon distribution centers throughout the country," the release states.

The corporation added the information session will focus on positions that support the facility by preparing customer orders.

Amazon's starting hourly wage is $15, and full-time employees receive comprehensive benefits, according to the corporation.
