Austin Art Opening: FotoATX Launches Visual Arts Exhibit

"Where I Belong: Exhibit Opening & Artist Talk" is the first exhibit of the photography festival which began in Jan. 2018.

AUSTIN, TX -- FotoATX, a new photography festival launched in January 2018, will host "Where I Belong: Exhibit Opening & Artist Talk" on Saturday, Jan. 13 beginning at 12 PM. This fascinating exhibit is co-curated by Lizzie Chen and the Asian American Resource Center and focuses on mixed-race families and the lived experiences of Asian American Pacific Islander youth in Austin. The opening reception being held on Jan. 13 will include an artist talk beginning at 3 PM and the exhibit will run through June 29, 2018.

FotoATX, a collaboration between the Cultural Arts Division, the City’s Museum and Cultural Arts Centers of the Austin Parks and Recreation Department, The PrintAustin Festival, and other community partners, showcases Austin's talent and promotes the City as a vibrant destination for visual arts tourists.
