Austin-Based Financial Technology Firm To Add 55-Plus Jobs

AUSTIN, TX — Locally based AffiniPay, a financial technology company, is poised to add more than 55 jobs in Austin by 2020, chamber of commerce officials said Wednesday.

Officials of the Austin Chamber's five-county initiative dubbed "Opportunity Austin" made the announcement centered on the company specializing in creating payment-based practice management tools for professional services markets. The company also provides payment processing to associations and nonprofits for dues, donations, conference registrations, and more.

“We are excited with AffiniPay’s decision to expand its headquarters here,” Austin Chamber/Opportunity Austin Senior Vice President, Economic Development, Charisse Bodisch said in a prepared statement. “As the fintech field continues to grow in our region, we are thrilled to work with expanding companies such as AffiniPay. Their innovative products are changing the way businesses operate, and we're proud to have them as part of our fintech community."

AffiniPay's growth will center around continuing to provide sophisticated online payment solutions to an increasing number of professionals in the legal, accounting, and association spaces, officials explained.

The company plans to expand its network of technical integration partners across all three of its brands (LawPay, CPACharge, and AffiniPay for Associations) and will also continue building out its network of Affinity Partnerships. AffiniPay's LawPay product is vetted and approved by all 50 state bars. Moreover, the company's CPACharge product is approved by more than 30 state CPA societies.

“Even though we’ve already achieved tremendous growth here at AffiniPay, we know that there are still millions of professionals out there who we can help," AffiniPay CEO Tom West said in a prepared statement. "We’re excited to continue growing in order to deliver on our mission to transform the way professionals are paid.”

AffiniPay currently employs 165 people at its Austin headquarters at 3700 North Capital of Texas Highway.
