Austin Resident Wins $1M In Texas Lottery Scratch-Off Game
Anonymous winner strikes it rich at Spring Food Mart, 13125 Pond Springs Rd., in Northwest Austin playing 50X The Cash game.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX — If you have a friend who suddenly, seemingly from one day to the next, starts to dress better and makes a big purchase like a new vehicle, that person might be the Austin resident who just won $1 million in a Texas Lottery scratch-off game.
Texas Lottery officials on Tuesday announced that someone who purchased a scratch-off ticket at the Spring Food Mart, 13125 Pond Springs Rd. in Northwest Austin near the intersection of Cahill Drive and Pond Springs Road, is now $1 million richer. The person has chosen to remain anonymous (but, again, watch for a better wardrobe and new car purchase).
The winning ticket was of the Texas Lottery game called 50X The Cash, with the prize claimed on June 22, lottery officials said. The Texas lottery folks said two more $1 million prizes are still out there somewhere for the same game.

The owner of the Spring Food Mart will be awarded $10,000 from the lottery commission for having sold the winning ticket. It's not the first time figurative lightning has struck either; the store sold another $1 million ticket to a school teacher about years ago, according to reports.
