Book Delivery Lets Home-Bound Residents Enjoy Summer Of Reading
Senior Services and Pflugerville Parks and Recreation offer library book delivery service to area residents who are unable to pick up items.
PFLUGERVILLE, TX—Amid the soaring temperatures in the region, and heat advisories issued for the safety of residents, indoor activities are a great way to enjoy the summer. The City of Pflugerville Parks and Recreation Department Senior Services offers library book delivery for the home-bound in the community.
Open to applicants living within the Pflugerville Independent School District boundary, the service is ideal for those who do not have a vehicle, or are physically unable to visit the area's library. The simple process involves home-bound members browsing, selecting and requesting items to then be put on reserve, with Friends of the Library donating their time to deliver items to recipients every other Thursday. Items requested may include food, CD and DVD selections. Want to learn more about qualifying to receive the free service? Please call the Library at (512)990-6375.
