Build-A-Bear Brings Back 'Pay Your Age' Promotion

But after last year's overcrowded chaos, offer will be limited to 200,000 customers in a drawing. Find out how to apply for a slot here.

AUSTIN, TX — Let's try this again, folks. Build-A-Bear is bringing back its "Pay Your Age" promotion after last year's chaos marked by overcrowding by eager patrons, with new guidelines in the interest of public safety.

Last year's promotion drew so many patrons eager to secure a stuffed bear with the same price as their kids' ages that it created hours-long waits for those in the long queues. Store officials were forced to close midway in the interest of public safety as a result.

This year won't be a free-for-all pandemonium if organizers have anything to do with it. Those eligible for a specially priced bear will be limited to 200,000 people. To enter, parents must enroll as Bonus Club members and fill out a birthday profile.

Drawing winners will receive a ticket from Build-A-Bear enabling them to visit their local workshop from June 24-28 to redeem up two Build-A-Bear creations at the promotional price. Both recipients must be present to pay their age in a single transaction.

Additionally, 10 guests will win the "Count Your Candles Sweepstakes" grand prize of a birthday party experience redeemable any time in the next 12 months valued up to $250. The local Build-A-Bear workshop is located at Barton Creek Square, 2901 S. Capital of Texas Hwy. For more information, click here.
