The purpose of the public hearing is to present a substantial amendment to the 2020 Annual Action Plan for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program and to request feedback from the community regarding the proposed plan. The proposed change is adding utility payment assistance as a goal for the 2020 Action Plan. The City will put forth $224,134 from CDBG-CV towards helping Pflugerville residents with emergency one-time or short-term(no more than three months) payments to cover utility payments( water, wastewater, trash) for residents that have been impacted by COVID-19 and meet income requirements established by the Federal Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). This program is being expanded to to include Windermere and Manville utilities for City of Pflugervile residents.
