Coronavirus: North Austin Clinic Offers Drive-Thru Testing

Baylor Scott & White is seeing a brisk demand to its testing site opened on Friday, and has implemented more stringent in-patient screening.

AUSTIN, TX — Baylor Scott & White hospital in North Austin has been conducting a drive-thru testing site for new coronavirus the past three days while implementing tighter screening standards for those needing in-patient care.

The convenience of the drive-thru site was illustrated in the lines of cars with occupants waiting to be tested since the service was launched on Friday. But to get in the queue, residents need to first fil out an online screening questionnaire on a website that also thoroughly explains the respiratory ailment now called COVID-19.

The online screening questionnaire available on the MyBSWHealth app and online at MyBSWHealth.com is something of a virtual screening in contrast to one that would take place doctor-to-patient in a physical setting.
