Coronavirus: Pflugerville Closes City Parks Easter Weekend

The closures will go into effect April 10, the city said in a news release.

PFLUGERVILLE, TX — City officials announced Saturday that all Pflugerville city parks will be closed Easter weekend amid the ongoing coronavirus crisis in Texas. In a news release posted to the city's website, officials said parks will be closed from 8 a.m. April 10 to 8 a.m. April 13.

Travis County’s stay-at-home order remains in effect. Families are asked to stay home unless a trip is absolutely necessary.

The number of coronavirus cases in Travis County grew to 430, according to the latest information released Friday. County health officials also said a fourth fatality is blamed on the respiratory illness.

Austin Public Health officials updated the count — a jump of 79 new cases from the 351-patient count recorded the day before in the biggest single-day increase since records have been kept in mid-March.
