Developers Open 2nd Affordable Housing Complex In Austin

The NRP Group, an NMHC top-ranked multifamily developer, unveil newest property dubbed The Bridge at Harris Ridge, 1501 E. Howard Lane.

AUSTIN, TX — Officials recently celebrated the grand opening of their affordable housing development — its second such project in Austin as the city addresses the rising cost of living in a growing city.

The NRP Group – an NMHC top-ranked multifamily developer — opened its newest property in Austin, dubbed The Bridge at Harris Ridge, 1501 E. Howard Lane. It's the second affordable housing development for The NRP Group in Austin, company officials noted, following The Terrace at Walnut Creek which opened in 2017.

"The Bridge at Harris Ridge illustrates NRP's presence in and commitment to the city of Austin, and addresses the city's affordability issues," officials said in a press advisory.

Located in the city's Tech Ridge area, the development comprises 324 apartments across 12 buildings. The Bridge at Harris Ridge is part of Austin's drive to ensure affordable housing for residents. In response to Austin's rapid population growth, officials noted. To that end, the new development will meet the city's goal of fostering diverse communities by providing critical services and housing in proximity to jobs, schools, grocers and transit, officials added.

The newly opened property in North Austin was developed in partnership with The Housing Authority of the City of Austin (HACA), officials noted.
