Fatal Car Wreck Prompts Street Closures In Northeast Austin
Austin-Travis County EMS confirmed a person died in a crash at the intersection of Mansfield Mansfield Dam Road and North FM 620.

AUSTIN, TX — A fatal car accident has prompted road closures at the intersection of Mansfield Dam Road and North FM 620 in the northeast portion of the county, officials said Wednesday.
In a tweet posted just before 4:10 p.m., Austin-Travis County EMS medics confirmed a person had died at the scene despite life-saving measures. The approximate age and gender of the crash victim were not disclosed as is medics' custom.
It's unclear what may have caused the crash or how many vehicles were involved. Motorists are urged to avoid the area, which was closed to traffic to accommodate emergency crews. "Expect extensive closures for investigation," medics wrote.
