Gas Leak Shuts Down FM 685 Stretch In Pflugerville
Police on Friday alerted residents to closure of FM 685 between Pflugerville Parkway and SH 130 in both directions after a gas leak.
PFLUGERVILLE, TX — Pflugerville police on Friday afternoon urged motorists to avoid a portion of FM 685 and Pflugerville Parkway that were closed after a gas leak was detected.
According to a phone text sent to residents just before 3:30 p.m., FM 685 between Pflugerville Parkway and SH 130 has been shut down northbound and southbound. In a subsequent text a few moments later, police alerted to closure of Pflugerville Parkway between FM 685 and SH 130 as a result of the gas leak.
And in a third text message, police said the roads would be closed through the night. Police said FM 685 would be closed both northbound and southbound between SH 130 and Pflugerville Parkway for repairs into the night.

It's unclear what caused the leak. Motorists are urged to avoid the area.
