The Goddard School Recognized at Governor's Small Business Forum
Texas Secretary of State Awards Cedar Park Preschool

The Goddard School, located in Cedar Park, was recently recognized by Carlos Cascos, Texas Secretary of State, at the Governor's Small Business Forum for it's outstanding achievements and contributions to the community.
It is the only private school in Texas nationally accredited by both AdvancED and NAC and since opening in 2007, it has grown from 7 to 40 faculty members. It was recently awarded "Exemplar School" status by the Partnership for 21st Century Learning (P21), an organization that builds collaborative educational partnerships among educators, business and government. The Goddard School is the only early childhood program in Texas, and one of only seven nationally, with this P21 recognition. It has also been recognized for outstanding contributions to the community as follows:

- Goddard Systems "Circle of Excellence"
- Cedar Park Chamber of Commerce "Small Business of the Year"
- SCORE 2014 "Small Business" award
The owners, Maria and Butch Aggen, are leaders nationally in incorporating STEM curriculum to assure children have the foundation needed for school readiness and both are very involved in the local community. Maria is a graduate of the Leander ISD Leadership program and has also served on the board for the Leander ISD Educational Excellence Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to providing resources that support academic excellence within the Leander Independent School District. Butch has served on the board of directors for the Cedar Park Chamber of Commerce and participated in both the Leander ISD Leadership and the Leadership City of Cedar Park programs.
